A standard soccer field should be 105 meters long and 68 meters wide. However, this standard has been in effect since 2008. Earlier fields were sometimes smaller or larger, but they had to fall within the range of 45\u201390 meters in width and 90\u2013120 meters in length (though they could not be square). The popular \u201cOrlik\u201d fields, however, are only 56 meters long and 26 meters wide.
